Belinda Hester is the second Waco Regional Coordinator for Bridges To Life, coordinating projects at the Boyd Unit in Teague, Dr Lane Murray Unit and Crain Unit in Gatesville, and Hobby Unit in Marlin. She is also the Faith Dorm Coordinator at the women's Hobby Unit. In 2010, Belinda met Lucy Segars at a banquet for House Where Jesus Shines, a recovery home for men coming out of prison. Hearing Lucy share her story and how she got connected with BTL caused some deeply-buried memories to surface for Belinda. Belinda and Lucy talked after the meeting, which led Belinda to volunteered for her first BTL project that same year, at the Lane Murray Unit in Gatesville.

As a victim of abandonment at age 11 by her mother and of sexual and physical abuse from ages 11-15 by her father, she was forced to run away from home. Belinda was also victim of domestic violence in her previous 16-year marriage. Being traumatized at an early age, Belinda's pain, anger, fears, loneliness, insecurities, and longing to be loved, along with a lack of guidance, led her down a road of destructive behavior. After four prison sentences in six prisons from age 17 to 35, Belinda surrendered to Jesus Christ while she was incarcerated in 1995 and her healing began. It took many years of falling down and getting back up. Belinda said she was still in an emotional prison but didn't "realize it" until she started sharing her story in Bridges To Life. Seeing the impact her story had on the offenders and the hope they received from her success of being out of prison for over 20 years, was healing to her and she knew this was where God had placed her. Belinda's passion is to carry the healing and hope she has received to the men and women who are hurting and need to be set free and restore their peace.

Belinda met her husband Harlan, also a BTL volunteer, during her first BTL project and they were married in 2012. BTL is the bridge that has made her life complete. Together they have five children and eight grandchildren. She believes them watching her life transform has had a huge impact on their lives.
