Margie is the Bryan/Huntsville Regional Coordinator for Bridges To Life.

​

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Margie saw and experienced a lot of injustice in her young life, and felt pain for those who were mistreated and abused. This led to a desire to help those who are victimized. In 1979, Margie and her husband left Brooklyn to raise their two young boys in Texas. In 1981, she suffered the loss of her firstborn son in a negligent homicide school bus accident, followed later by the ending of her 20-year marriage.

In 2002, Margie was invited by a friend to attend a Bridges To Life meeting in Austin and encouraged to get involved. After volunteering for one project, Margie was hooked. Through BTL, Margie got back the opportunity she thought she had lost to make a difference in the lives of others.

​

Margie remarried and  moved to the Bryan/College Station area. In 2005, John Sage asked if she would be interested in laying the groundwork for BTL in that region. She has been serving there ever since, along with her husband Jerry, a BTL volunteer since 2003.
